Situated on the banks of the tidal Sundays River, a delicious full farmhouse breakfast comprising of fresh breads and home made fruit juices is served on the decks overlooking this amazing river. This has often been referred to by guests as the best breakfast of all the guesthouses that they have stayed in.
Enjoy sweeping river views as you sit on the deck with your sundowner, search the sand dunes across the river. You may even start your game viewing from the lodge!
Dungbeetle River Lodge is your entry point into the world famous Addo Elephant National Park, and some of the finest game reserves in the Eastern Cape. Situated only 4 km from the Southern Gate of the park, and with your hosts being qualified game guides, professional self drive instructions or a guided tour makes this bed and breakfast an obvious place to stay.
ACTIVITIES:
River activities at the lodge include canoeing (canoes available), fishing tackle available, swimming in the river is clean and safe. Ferry rides can be arranged as can a visit to any of the private game reserves in the area. Excellent bird watching opportunities

Route Description
-From Port Elizabeth : Approximately 45km from the city, you will cross the Sundays River. Approx. 2 km further turn right at the cross road, right at the T junction and first left. The lodge will be in front of you!
-From: Grahamstown or Port Alfred or Cradock : After the Nanaga Interchange, travel for approx. 16 km past the Spar complex. Approx 1km further turn left, right at the T junction and first left. The lodge will be in front of you!
