


Pumba boasts two uniquely different five star luxury lodges - Water Lodge, offering 12 chalets perched on the banks of the Cariega Lake and Msenge Bush Lodge, offering 11 luxury thatch and glass chalets overlooking the Cariega River Floodplain, complete with waterhole and panoramic views of the Zuurberg Mountains. Both Lodges offer fully appointed luxury bathrooms, wooden decks, plunge pools and outdoor showers. Cuisine is sublime, being fusion with an Eastern Cape flair complimented by a selection of local wines.
Activities include a spa and gym, bass fishing, birding safaris, guided bushwalks and stargazing.

Route Description

Directions from Port Elizabeth:
Follow the N2 Highway towards Grahamstown for 100km. The Day Safari Arrivals is situated on the left hand side off the N2. To reach the Lodges, continue for a further 5km and take the Alicedale turnoff to your left. Drive along the gravel road until you see the Pumba sign telling you to turn right. Continue along the road until you reach the Main Gate of the Reserve on your left.
Directions from Grahamstown:
Follow the N2 Highway towards Port Elizabeth for 20km. To reach the Lodges, take the Alicedale turnoff to your right. Drive along the gravel road until you see the Pumba sign telling you to turn right. Continue along the road until you reach the Main Gate of the Reserve on your left. The Day Safari Arrivals are situated a further 5km on the N2 to your right.
